First assessment
What they expect:- Poster
- About FB (pro or con)
- Target:13-16yo
What I expect:
- Very graphic (you still understand without any text)
PRO
CON
To be efficient, you have to be powerful, using hyperboles and fears. But the balance is important to make the statement credible. If you go to far, nobody will believe it.
Perfect example: anti-smoking campaigns
First, everyone was really scared by those terrible pictures on the ciggies packs. But now, people have been exposed way too much and repetitively so now they don't even notice those pictures anymore - what is worst when you think about this cause people become more and more insensitive.
So if we get back to the idea of ''fear'' the balances are here >
- scare teenagers - not choke parents
- powerful fear - credible fear
- advice without lecturing
- make a statement ''original'' - make it super clear/concise
For the last point, using metaphor help us to add the meanings we want without any text.
My idea > Compare FB with drug addictions
Main comparison points:
- you can't spend one day without
- help you to feel better about yourself
- help you to escape from reality
Slogan ideas :
Log out to reconnect to your life > add the idea of pluggin in the illustration (syringe tip in shape of plug?)
Some addictions can be hard to detect
Statement: Facebook is a virtual reality using elements from the reality - this is why it doesn't seem to be a ''out life'' element. But its use can lead to put on hold our reality life.
