I really wanted to highlight the autodestruction aspect of his personality: more he sings, more he becomes part of an industry he hates, more he gets depressed, more he needs to express, more he needs to create music.
I liked the idea of the snakes bitting its own tail. I though about drawing him tuning his guitar bur instead of chords, there is only one rope. The rope actually ends under his neck: more he tunes his guitar, more he ties the rope around his neck. I liked this concept because of few reasons:
- it shows his rapport to the music via the guitar
- it shows that he reached the bottom by himself because he continued while i could have stopped.
Unfortunately, after few drafts, this project seemed quite complicated: too many secondary elements.
I needed to simplify my poster and re focus on the face only.
